The Tomb of Mujo Doon, also known simply as Mujo Doon, is a set of ruins. They are located among the coastal mountains of the Eastern Great Desert.
History[]
The Tomb of Mujo Doon is believed to house the remains of an early ruler from the area around the Great Desert. This ruler is believed to have belonged to one of Dinotopia's ancient civilizations, preceding the island's modern, more universal type of government, like Poseidos or First Chandara.[1]
After the Chandaran Empire allied with Poseidos during the Age of Heroes, the Chandarans permitted the Poseidians to build a strutter base at Mujo Doon.[2] Mujo Doon was later in the Age of Heroes the site of the Battle of Mujo Doon, where the Acrocanthosaurus warrior-monks played a decisive role.[3]
Preliminary excavations have been carried out at Mujo Doon in modern times. The site is considered too remote and difficult to justify full-scale archeological expeditions and work; there exists many more promising and easily accessed sites elsewhere in Dinotopia that are still to be explored.[1]
