Side by side, the people and dinosaurs crowd the broad avenues, the street markets, the grand open-air theaters.Arthur Denison

Pooktook was a major city near the northwestern coast of Dinotopia. Pooktook was a very busy city, with humans and dinosaurs crowding its broad avenues, street markets and large open-air theaters. The city contained marble fountains and sidewalk cafés and was compared to Paris by Arthur Denison, who briefly visited the city in 1862.[1]

Curied food and cider were popular evening refreshments in Pooktook.[2]

Pooktook was briefly visited in 1862 by Arthur and Will Denison, being the first major Dinotopian settlement they visited. At dusk, they met Lee Crabb who they shortly thereafter accompanied to Volcaneum.[3]
