The Messenger Bird are birds used by Dinotopians as long distance mailmen and telegram deliverers. They are equivalent to dimorphodons for sharing same roles.
In the miniseries[]
Messenger birds maintains the same role as in the books, apart from being portrayed by parrots native to Dinotopia. In a running gag, a particular member of this bird says "End of Message." whenever he completes his delivery of a message.
In the games[]
In Dinotopia: The Sunstone Odyssey, messenger birds are once again portrayed as prehistoric parrots.
