The Age of Heroes was a period of Dinotopian history approximately 4,000 years before the arrival of Arthur and Will Denison to the island (roughly 2,000 BC). Whilst modern Dinotopia is seen as a utopian society, the Age of Heroes was a dystopian time of struggles and warfare. Also known as the Strutter Invasions, the Age of Heroes saw the Empire of Poseidos attempting to exert dominance over all of Dinotopia.
